What are the basic requirements for setting up an air flotation machine

1. The optimal height for the contact chamber of the air flotation tank is 1.5-2.0m, and the plane size should meet the requirements for arranging the dissolved air release device. The upward flow velocity of the water flow should be controlled between 10-20mm/s, and the residence time of the water flow in it should be greater than 60 seconds.
2. The air flotation tank generally adopts a rectangular reinforced concrete structure and is often built together with the reaction tank. The top of the tank is equipped with a lightweight cover plate and a scraper is installed inside. The horizontal flow velocity of the water in the tank is 4-5m/s, which should not exceed 10/s. The aspect ratio of the air flotation tank is usually not greater than 4. The width of small and medium-sized air flotation tanks can be 4.5m, 3m, or 2m, while the width of large air flotation tanks can be determined according to specific situations. Generally, the width of a single grid tank does not exceed 10m and the length of the tank does not exceed 15m.
3. To prevent the breakage of flocs, the water flow connection should be smooth. Therefore, it is best to build the air flotation machine and the reaction tank together, and the water flow velocity entering the contact chamber of the air flotation machine should be less than 0.1m/s
4. The dissolved air pressure of the air flotation machine is 0.2~0.4Mpa, and the reflux ratio is 25% -50%. To achieve sufficient tool effectiveness, it is generally necessary to add coagulants and sometimes coagulants. The mixing time after dosing is usually 2-3 minutes, and the reaction time is 5-10 minutes.
5. The depth of the separation chamber is generally 1.5-2.5m, and the superelevation is not less than 0.4m. The downward flow velocity range of the water flow should be between 1.5-3.0mm/s, that is, the surface load should be controlled between 5.5-10.8m3/(m2 · h), and the residence time of the wastewater in the air flotation tank should not exceed 1.0h, usually 30-40 minutes.
6. The water collection of the air flotation machine should ensure the balance of inlet and outlet water to maintain the normal water level of the air flotation tank. Generally, the collection pipe is connected to the outlet well, and the maximum flow velocity of the collection pipe should be controlled at around 0.5m/s. Small and medium-sized air flotation machines are equipped with water level regulating pipe valves at the upper part of the outlet well; Large air flotation tanks should be equipped with controllable overflow weir plates to adjust the water level and flow rate accordingly.
